The Platform

The system is hosted in cloud within the state of the art technologies offered by Amazon server in Sydney. The clients will enjoy the strength of the robust platform which has a strong record of security.

Asset Management

CAMS has integrated novel techniques developed through academic research in to practical solutions. A unique value proposition is the continuous innovation offered to all clients as the academic outcomes are delivered. Currently, CAMS covers buildings, drainage assets and bridges. This is being expanded to other general asset classes such as footpaths and park assets as well as road pavements.

Scenario analysis, level of service, cumulative backlog and asset risk analysis provides the practitioner with comprehensive tools for decision making.

Integration with a business intelligence tool provides the user with the ability to customize and generate their own reports live by combining different parameters.

New modules in development include energy retrofitting of buildings, disaster resilience of bridges, automated inspections using RFIDs and building information modeling.

Building Inspections

We understand that the predictions are only as good as the data! Need to avoid the situation of “garbage in-garbage out”.

Our CAMS-mobile inspection app is currently fully functional for buildings.

The module includes asset location capture, condition and risk capture with images attached to each asset. Validation with previous data set ensures that your inspections are repeatable.

The business intelligence platform linked to CAMS-mobile provides the inspector with reports of their performance. The administration console enables the inspector admin full control of all the inspectors and the data that is being collected in the field in real time.

Building Asset Data Management

  • A flexible asset registry that captures the categorisation of buildings, division of a building into functional areas, component types, components etc. for ease of decision making
  • Identify building types for easy grouping – child care centre, sports pavilion etc.
  • Component types, groups and components based on the NAMS hierarchy
  • Offer a standardised method for condition data collection via CAMS Mobile
  • Provide a method of forecasting building deterioration using discrete condition data collected

Web Based Software

  • Access from anywhere with internet connection and a web browser
  • Secure cloud based hosting at Amazon Web Services in Australia
  • Granular access control for different people of the same organisation via the Security module
  • Bulk upload function for efficient data transfer
  • MS Excel import/export functionality
  • All analysis reports available in Excel format
  • Developed on Microsoft ASP.NET and MS SQL database platform
  • User friendly component and maintenance history record keeping
  • Customizable access control system for defining users

Modeling and Forecasting

  • Condition forecasting and risk determination using cost and consequences of deterioration/failure
  • Based on Markov Chain stochastic deterioration prediction technique
  • State of the art calibration methodology using Genetic Algorithm and Monte-Carlo analysis
  • Probabilities and consequence cost consideration
  • Deterioration curves for key building components developed using condition data
  • 320 component level curves developed using the NAMS
  • Probabilistic risk-cost optimisation developed for decision making
  • A sustainability focussed prioritisation method developed
  • Definition of transition matrices and assignment to specified building components
  • Backlog and surplus calculation and predictions
  • Scenario analysis for what-if strategy estimations
  • Levels of Service (LoS) definition facilitator based on available funding
  • Risk profile guidance in scenario generation
  • Expenditure projection of specified component to a network level of asset components

Sample Reports from CAMS

Following are three sample reports. CAMS comes with a collection of standard reports and additional custom reports can be developed based on specific user requirements.

Future Proofing

Future proofing with continuing innovation is an intrinsic part of CAMS.

The system is developed with capability for integrating with other systems and also addition of new modules as they are developed. We are currently developing apps for other infrastructure systems such as drainage pits.

Consultancy

The continuing parallel world class research program of RMIT University offers the clients the opportunity to tap in to any specific advancements needed at a very small cost.

We can provide specialized services under this arrangement. For non-public clients, these contributions will be 150% tax deductible.

Inspection

Efficiency of CAMS-Buildings was appreciated by many inspectors from local councils, specialized consultants both in Australia and Vietnam. Reduction of inspection time by 60% and improve in accuracy have been reported by inspectors.
